If you want to know how much a player
counts toward the salary cap for the current and future years, click
on their team below. Each team page also contains the buyout
impacts for future years from players bought out in the summer of
2006 or 2007 (if applicable) and any cap hits due to recall waivers,
non-payment of options, overages, or other such things.
Contract information is guaranteed to be correct signed to an NHL
contract as of June 10, 2008 for all players (whether
on entry-level contracts or not).
-- Performance bonuses for players who have them are located on the
salary pages for each team.
-- Qualifying offers for all RFA's not taken to arbitration or
otherwise signed to a contract will be listed until July 15.
-- If a player has reportedly signed an entry-level contract and
he's not listed here, the details of his contract are currently
unavailable and he will not be listed until those details become
available.

EXPLANATION OF THE SYMBOLS AND COLORS
Red numbers indicates cap hits that
apply due to buyouts, payments from non-renewal of options, overages
from the prior season, or other
items; they constitute dead cap space.
Purple numbers indicates cap hits
that count no matter what due to the "35 and older" clause.
Orange numbers indicate cap hits that
are uncertain (but should be accurate to within $100).
WS - indicates the waiver status of a player. (Y -
must clear regular waivers to be assigned, N - exempt from waivers).
Does not tell anything about whether the player is subject to
recall waivers!
RFA* - indicates that the player
is arbitration-eligible at the expiration of the current contract.
