No, I hadn't abandoned the site.  I'll pick up the activity here shortly!  For the current figures for each team's cap situation, use this link.  Do not use the "Team Numbers" link on the menu bar - it will take you to Cap Central at Hockeybuzz.  I will maintain the "Team Numbers" page here until Cap Central is configured correctly; I'm working on this and hope to have it set up shortly.

11/30 - Pages referring to the Entry-Level system are now complete, including a page showing Exhibit 5 bonuses that are available to entry-level players.

NOTE:  The following links have moved:
-- "Team Numbers", "Player Cap Numbers" and "Player Salaries" now point to the "Cap Central" section at Hockeybuzz, and will not be maintained here for the time being.  [See the announcement on this for details.]
-- The free agent pages no longer exist: the current page on this is also at Hockeybuzz and will allow you to sort by team, position, and FA type for years out to 2012.
- The individual team links have changed to  point to the respective team pages at Hockeybuzz; the salary and cap pages that were here have been taken down.

Updates that are coming:
-- The spreadsheet of player contracts will no longer be available here.  However, it will still be available.  If you would like to be added to the mailing list so you receive an updated copy when it's available, send me an e-mail with the subject "Spreadsheet Mailing List" - you'll be added to the list and receive it as I get things updated.  I currently expect to have the next update out somewhere between October 9 and October 12.
-- 1-way and 2-way contracts will be illustrated on the pages at Hockeybuzz by November 1, and the waiver status of players will be added around the same time.  [Work got in the way, we're turning around to focus on this.]

OFTEN ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. "The information on the page at Hockeybuzz isn't correct - [insert player here]'s salary [cap number] isn't correct."  Please take note:  the table defaults to showing cap numbers - to get to player salaries, click on the button labeled "Show Player Salaries" above the table on the upper-right side; this will toggle the page to show salaries [including the actual payment associated with buyouts] and the button will read "Show Cap Numbers" - click on it again, and the page will toggle back to showing cap numbers.  Please make sure you're looking at the right set of numbers before sending an e-mail saying, "it's not correct".  [Yes, we'll be working on making this more clear shortly.]

2. "[insert player here]'s name is spelled incorrectly."  The names I have match what the NHL has on file - I know a few names have been amended, I'll get mine amended shortly.  Otherwise, if you see a discrepancy keep this in mind before letting me know.  [This means the Kostitsyn's have been spelled according to the NHL's spelling as was listed in the 2007-08 season, but will be corrected sometime in the next 7-10 days.]

3. "What is the Upper Limit and Lower Limit for 2008-09?"
-- The Upper Limit:  $56,700,000
-- The Lower Limit:  $40,700,000
-- Keep in mind that for 2008-09, this is a hard limit, so teams cannot use performance bonuses to go over knowing that if they end the season over the Upper Limit, the amount by which they go over is applied to the following season.  All salary and bonuses must fit under the Upper Limit.  [LTIR is still available to teams who need it.]
